Welcome to our authentic Portuguese house near Peniche — a tranquil base for families, friends and surf lovers. The house accommodates up to 6 guests and has 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a fully equipped kitchen, a cosy living room with fireplace, a large rooftop terrace, garden and private patio with barbecue. São Bernardino beach is just 4 minutes away, whilst Peniche and Baleal are nearby. Enjoy the best of Portugal without being in the midst of tourist crowds.
Our house is a place to slow down and experience a more authentic side of Portugal.
With three bedrooms, the house comfortably accommodates up to six guests. It has two bathrooms, a fully equipped kitchen and a spacious living room – perfect for relaxed evenings after a day at the beach.
Outside, there is plenty of space to enjoy the Portuguese sun: a large rooftop terrace, a garden and a private patio with barbecue area.
The house is ideal for families, but works equally well for a group of friends or couples travelling together.
What makes the house special for us is its location in a traditional Portuguese village. It is tranquil and still feels genuinely local, rather than a typical holiday resort. You will meet friendly neighbours.
It does not have a television, but offers high-speed WiFi throughout the property.

Peniche is a short drive away and has everything you need for day-to-day living: restaurants, cafés, supermarkets, shops, a harbour and plenty of local life.
For a younger and more lively atmosphere, head to Baleal, about 10 minutes' drive away. It is known for its surf culture, beach bars and relaxed international atmosphere.
The nearby beaches are São Bernardino, just 4 minutes' drive away and Praia da Consolação, 5 minutes' drive away. There are countless other beautiful beaches along the coast, including the famous Supertubos 8 minutes' drive away, one of Portugal's most well-known surf spots and host to international surf competitions.
What we like most is that you can easily enjoy both sides of the region: authentic Portuguese village life and the beaches, surf culture and restaurants around Peniche and Baleal.
Day trips:
A car is recommended to make the most of the area, although Peniche itself is a short drive away.
The location is also a great base for exploring central Portugal. Depending on the day, it is easy to plan trips to beautiful places such as Óbidos, Nazaré, Ericeira or Lisbon. Porto is also possible as a longer day trip.
Whether you want to spend the day surfing, exploring historic villages, relaxing on the beach or simply enjoying a long Portuguese lunch, there is much to discover within easy reach.
